Check Your Golf Backswing With This Simple Golf Drill
On the driving range I often see golfers swinging to the top of their backswing and stopping and trying to see if the golf club is positioned correctly. Naturally this is a very, very hard way to tell if the backswing is in "the slot" so to speak.
So if you've struggled to tell whether your golf backswing is correct then today I'm going to give you a great exercise that will allow you to quickly tell if your backswing is too upright, too flat or just right.

Fix a slice - become a "hooker"!
Ever wondered about the best way to fix a golf slice? I've outlined 4 steps below that will help you make the transition from "slicer" to "hooker"!
One of the best ways to get out of a bad habit is to do the exact opposite to the point where it feels totally unnatural. That's usually the point where you'd like to get to. So for example, if you walk with your toes pointing inwards and you'd like to retrain yourself to walk with them pointing straight and forward, you need to consciously turn your feet to the point where you THINK that you're turning your toes out. In fact, when you look down, you'll find that they're pointing forward.
Same with changing a bad golf swing. Let's start with the setup.
The first thing to be aware of is your setup. Firm up your grip, aim to the right of the target and position the ball back in your stance. Obviously you'll only do this extreme opposite for a while until you hit the ball straight, then you get back to a more traditional setup.
Secondly, you need to swing from the inside so the ball starts to the right of your final target.
Thirdly, slightly close your clubface when connecting with the ball by snapping your wrists through impact.
And the final point: get some advice on buying clubs that promote a draw rather than a slice. Any good golfing equipment outlet should be able to help you with this.
Give this some time. Good habits take a while to establish themselves, and likewise, bad habits take equally as long to get rid of! Be patient and if you'd like to know more details about curing your slice, check out my website www.best-golf-instruction.com to find more info!
Enjoy the game!

The Golf Swing Sequence - A Hidden Secret For Effortless Power
This article teaches you about the correct golf swing sequence for effortless power.
The correct golf swing sequence has a HUGE effect on the distance you hit the ball. If you get it wrong you'll be robbing yourself of a lot of distance, and if you're like most golfers, you want to hit the golf ball the longest you possibly can. To do this, you need to understand golf swing sequencing.
So let's get started by looking at what should be happening in the backswing and in what sequence.
To start the backswing, you use your big muscles - namely your back and shoulders. You do NOT want to start your backswing with your hands.
Curing a slice: a proven 4-step formula
Want a proven formula for curing your slice? Well, here is the exact formula I've used to cure literally thousands of golfers' slice problems from all around the world. And without any further delay, here are the 4 things you must do to help you curing a slice in the quickest possible time:
- Setup for a draw
- Swing from the inside so the ball starts to the right (for a right handed golfer) of your final target
- Contact the ball with a slightly closed clubface
- Have equipment that encourages you to draw the ball
This list of 4 things is generally the opposite of what every golfer does to hit a slice. For example, when a right handed golfer suffers from a slicing problem, they generally aim to the left to allow for a slice -- which just makes it worse, doesn't it? (...)
