Day 10 of 21 | The Down Swing: Another Drill to Help You Improve Swing

Your backswing plane should be more upright than the down swing plane. Unfortunately a lot of golfers' swing plane is the exact opposite of this and it turns into swinging over the top.

Swinging over the top is one of the biggest causes of the ball starting to the left and turning into a slice or a pull.

Giving you the upright backswing drill has already started to cure the over-the-top problem. But now we need to work on flattening your downswing plane. But before I give you a drill that will help you to do that I have a word of warning.

The drill that I'm going to give you today is going to feel so strange that you may not want to do it. But please persevere: I'm asking you to do the total opposite of what you probably have been doing for your entire golf career so far, so no wonder it's feels odd!

Day 9 of 21 | Golf Back Swing: More Drills To Help You With Developing A More Upright Backswing

Today we're going to be working on the uprightness of your golf back swing. To really improve your swing, you need to have a more upright backswing and a flatter downswing. Don't worry about your downswing yet, because the flatness will come naturally as a result of the drills I'll give you.

  1. To do today's drill, grab a wedge and stand next to a wall so that your bottom just touches it.

Think about buying Bob Schaeffers Ultimate Power Golf Swing? Think again!

This is a personal review of the Bob Schaeffers Ultimate Power Golf Swing available at OHP Direct for $89.00 plus s/h (as of Feb 28th, 2011).

The marketing for this video is hyped up to the max. When you go on the website, you find one of those hugely long aggressive sales letters that I can't even read through fully. Generally, I really dislike OHP Golf products - they hardly ever seem to deliver what they promise. Hype takes over and the promises rarely live up to the facts.

So I wasn't really expecting much from this video after other bad experiences with OHP products. But you know what...with such low expectations this video actually over delivered. Don't get me wrong, this product will never live up to the hype of its marketing.
